during the coming month i will be picking up my life and moving more than a thousand miles away.
i have done it before (and i imagine i will do it again) but it is always a special kind of terrifying.
useful piece of information: if you ever need to move a lot of books, mailing them as ‘media mail’ via usps is v cheap
for a lot of my life i have put effort into making sure my belongings would fit into my car excepting -
furniture and books (which account for a v signficant percentage of the literal volume of things i own)
i have strayed from that a bit in the last ~3 years so i have the enjoyable challenge of thinning things out again
all of this to say, worst case, i may not write more here until may
